Extraordinary
Archdiocesan Assembly
Our Assembly to elect a new Bishop has
been cancelled in order to give us more time to find a suitable and
desirable candidate. (The Holy Spirit hopefully has the final
say here!)
We are now looking to perhaps the early
fall for the Assembly.
Several candidates for Bishop will be
visiting our Archdiocese in order to give clergy and lay persons an
opportunity to meet with them.

Retreat at Camp Sherwin—
June 18-21
This camping
trip is open to everyone in the church.
Camp
Sherwin (8600 West Lake Rd) is located off of route 5 in Lake City
and run by the YMCA. 70 acres on the shores of Lake Erie can be
accessed by a 90 step staircase. They have an Olympic size
in-ground heated swimming pool, a pond for catch and release
fishing, a large circular driveway for bike riding, basketball and
bocce courts, horseshoe pits, trails for nature exploration, a
playground, a baseball field and bleachers on the waters edge to
watch the sunrise or set, an outdoor chapel, cabins, campers, modern
bath houses, pavilions, halls, and lots of scenery.
There is a fee for daily
admittance, even if you aren't camping. We will post a
schedule of events as we draw nearer to the retreat. An
evening visit around the campfire and the beauty of a Lake Erie
sunset will bring some peace and inspiration into your life!
Mark the dates on your calendar.
There is more information
posted in the parish hall.

Ss. Peter & Paul
Picnic
To celebrate our Patron Saints, we are
planning a parish picnic for after the Divine Liturgy.
Kentucky Fried Chicken!
We will have games and activities for
young and old.
Plan to stay awhile! We are
asking for a donation of $10 per adult person but we will quietly
and secretly make adjustments for those struggling financially.
No parishioner will miss our Patron
Saints picnic because of money!
