The Symbol of Faith (Nicaean Creed)  begins with "I believe...."  It ends with: "I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come."

The Symbol of Faith closes with the joy of this "I look for," I await. Life goes on. Every day brings its own sorrows and joys. We fall, we get up, we fall again.

But if faith has ever entered our soul, if ever there has taken place that sometimes almost completely unnoticed encounter with Christ, and in Him with the good and loving Father; if ever the soul has been touched by the breathing of the Holy Spirit; if ever we have been given to behold not the exterior, but the interior life of the Church, her continuous ascent to the feast of the Kingdom...if ever   we have heard a voice within us forever calling us homeward, to God; then at that moment     "I believe" is transformed within us into          "I look for..."  and though perhaps nothing   has happened or will happen in my life,         in its depths, that "I look for" now reigns...

Within some corner of my soul I have already tasted this life and know that already here and now it has begun and is accessible.  And therefore anyone who believes in Christ is not merely seeking help from Him in "this world," in this life, but is awaiting Him, looking for Him

 "Come Lord Jesus!" (Rev 22:20).

Glory to God for All Things

I see Your heaven glowing with stars. How  rich You are, how much light is Yours!

Eternity watches me by the rays of the distant stars. I am small, seemingly insignificant, but the Lord is with me, His loving hand protects me wherever I go.

Glory to You for the people Your Providence gave me to meet.

Glory to You for the love of my dear ones, the faithfulness of friends.

Glory to You for the gentleness of the animals which serve me.

Glory to You for the light-filled moments of life.

Glory to You for the radiant joy in my heart.

Glory to You for the joy of living, moving and seeing.

Glory to You, O God, from age to age.
